Lifecycles Tab Page Terminology

· Attachment: Contains the list of attachment documents currently available in SARIS. (Refer to section 1.8 for how to attaché documents)
· Reports: Contains the list of any archived final reports of all self-assessment lifecycles within the SARIS database. (Refer to section 1.11/IV on generating final reports)
· Open: Opens the questions within a module (Note: The module has to be selected first)
· Final: Generates the Final Report of the lifecycle (Note: A final report includes fully completed modules only; modules that have not been completed will not be included in the report)
· Interim: Generates an interim report of the lifecycle which includes all completed and not-completed modules, i.e., even questions without any answers
· Status: Status report is similar to Interim report, with all answered and not-answered questions, but generates the report of a questionnaire or a module. (Refer to section 1.11 for generating reports)
· Import: Imports/copies a lifecycle/questionnaire/module from the source database to a destination database. (Refer to section 1.12.3 for importing modules)
· Import V1: Imports/copies data of self-assessment (lifecycles) conducted using the previous self-assessment tool (SAT). (Note: Data from the SAT is normally copied as read only; but an administrator can edit its read-only status)
· Merge: Merges data of different modules/questionnaires from different source lifecycles/databases into one destination lifecycle/database (Refer to section 1.12.2 for merging modules/questionnaires)
· Export: Exports a module/questionnaire/lifecycle as a bin file for saving in a local drive and further processing (such as to import to other database, merge, etc.)
· Dump: Extracts SARIS data as xml file (for saving in local drive, etc.) (Note: Dumping is possible only if a lifecycle is complete, i.e., the ‘Dump’ button will not be active for not completed lifecycles)
· Question Sets: Extracts the question sets in SARIS (module by module) in different file formats in MSWord tables (Refer to section 1.12.1 for extracting question sets from SARIS)
· PA (in the ‘Statistics’ group of the ribbon): Refreshes the Priority Assignment value for a completed module.
· Progress: Refreshes the ‘progress’ and ‘subsidiary progress’ bars for the SARIS lifecycles tab page
· Analysis: For conducting module analysis (Refer to section 1.9 for conducting module analysis)
· Action Plan: For developing the action plan when analysis is completed (Refer to section 1.10 on developing an action plan) (Note: Since SARIS extracts the recommendations by default onto the action plan editor page, recommendations have to be provided during the analysis phase in order to be able to develop an action plan)
· Priority Assignment (PA): A value given to a completed module by SARIS for assigning a priority for improvement. (Note: The is a value calculated through an algorithm based on Performance Indicators (PI)s of 0 to 3, as described in the SARIS methodology document; therefore, for instance, a module with a PA value of 1 indicates a higher priority for improvement than a module with a PA value of 3)
